MARKS, Hugh (Newcastle formerly Belfast) died peacefully at Slieve Dhu Nursing Home on 9th December 2024.

Beloved husband of Irene and cherished father to Elaine, Laurence, Dianne and Deborah, loving father-in-law to Roy and Alida.

Much loved grandfather of Dean, Ross, Keenan, Natasha, David, Lisa-ann and Luke and adored great grandfather of Taylor, Capri, Kayson, William, Sarah, Braydon, Carter, Emmie, Jordon, Evert, Chloe, Layla and Luka.

Hugh’s remains will repose in the side chapel at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Newcastle with family in attendance on Wednesday 11th December and Thursday 12th December between 3pm and 5pm for those wishing to pay their respects. Requiem mass will be held at 10am on Friday 13th December in Our Lady of the Assumption Church Newcastle followed by a private cremation.
