MALLON (née Murtagh) Joan – R.I.P. 17 Dromintee Road, Meigh. 2nd March 2025, peacefully at Daisy Hill Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Frank, loving mother of Margaret, Joseph, Martina, Edmund, Sheila and Ciaran, grandmother of Niamh, Aisling, Ronan, Emma and Kayla, sister of Anthony and the late Patsy, Francie and Carmel and mother-in-law to the late Edward.

For those wishing to pay their respects, Joan’s remains will repose in McGennity’s Funeral Home, 18 Forkhill Road, Newry BT35 8LZ this evening (Sunday 2nd March) from 7-10pm. Family and friends are also welcome at the family home tomorrow (Monday 3rd March) between 2pm and 8pm. Please be aware that there is no exit out of the lane at the family home so please park at the community centre and walk down the lane. House private on Tuesday morning please. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon on Tuesday (4th March) in St. Joseph’s church, Meigh. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

Very deeply regretted by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, brother, son-in-law Paul, daughter-in-law Jennifer and the extended family circle.
