McSORLEY (nee Rooney) Mavis (Newry) March 19th, 2025. Peacefully at her residence, Mavis (née Rooney), cherished wife of Frank for 65 years, devoted mother of Gillian, Brian, Paula and Debbie and sister of Rita and the late Kathleen, Madgie, Eileen and Bernadette. May she Rest In Peace.

Mavis’ remains will repose at her late residence, 50 Kenard Villas, Newry, BT34 1LQ on today Wednesday from 4pm. Funeral will arrive at St Catherine’s Church, Dominic Street on Friday for 12.30pm Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in Monkshill Cemetery. House strictly private morning of funeral.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken husband, daughters, son, sons-in-law Eddie Sweeney, Kieran King and Maurice Brown, daughter-in-law Ann, grandchildren Lauren, Conor, Meabh, Sarah, Niamh, Molly and Kaitlyn, great-grandchildren Maisie, Finney, Edward and Leon, sister, nephews, nieces and the entire family circle.
