It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernadette (Bernie) McCarron (née Ward), peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on 16th April 2025.

Late of 19 Rathmore Rd. May she rest in peace.

Beloved wife of the late Pius. Devoted mother of Paul, Donna, Susan, Kevin, Pius, Angela, Maureen and Yvonne. A much loved granny of Laura, Louise and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she greatly adored. Dearest daughter of the late Barney and Agnes. Loving sister of Marie, Veronica, Angela, John, Gerard, Brian, Martin and the late Josephine, Margie and Patricia. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle and friends.

Bernie’s remains will be reposing at her late residence, 19 Rathmore Rd from 5pm this afternoon, Wednesday 16th April. Funeral leaving from there on Friday 18th April at 9:20am for 10am Funeral Service in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
