CAREY (née O’Reilly) Joan passed away peacefully at hospital April 29, 2025. (Late of Priory Park and formerly of Norfolk Drive). Beloved mother of Fiona, Brenda, Louise and John. Adored nana of Emma, Catherine, Jack, Lucy, Michael and Anna-Bride. Cherished sister of Bride Curran, Ann Smyth, Margaret Austin, Frances Dougal and the late Maíre O’Neill, Jeanette McHenry and John O’Reilly.

Joan will be reposing at O’Kanes Funeral Home, 116-118 Donegall Street, Belfast BT1 2GX and family will be in attendance on today Saturday May 3rd between 5.00pm-8.00pm for those wishing to pay their respects. Funeral on Monday May 5th after 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Brigid’s Church, Derryvolgie Avenue. A Private Cremation will take place at a later date. Sadly missed by her loving daughters, son, grandchildren, sons-in-law, sisters, nieces, nephews and family circle. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on her soul.
