It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Majella McLaughlin née McCleary, peacefully at Melmount Manor Care Home on 22nd June 2025.

Late of 44 Creggan Heights. May she rest in peace.

Beloved wife of Bobby. Devoted mother of Paul, Charles, Damien, Mairead and Brian. A much loved grandmother and great-grandmother to all of her loving grandchildren. Precious daughter of the late Charles and Kathleen. Dearest sister of Ann, Angie, Davy, Charles, Mark and the late Sean, Jean and Gerard. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her nieces, nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Majella’s remains will be reposing at her late residence, 44 Creggan Heights from 2pm this afternoon, Monday 23rd June. Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday 25th June at 9:20am for 10am Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
