The death has taken place of the late John George Strickland, July 5 2025, peacefully at his home, 25 Rossdowney Road, Waterside, dearly loved partner of Hazel Philson, devoted Dad of Zara, Chloe and the late Donna and a much loved Stepdad to Graeme and Lisa Philson; a cherished Grandad to all his grandchildren and a loving and precious brother to Margaret Keys, Barbara Mitchell and the late Freddy.

House private please. John’s cortège will leave his home on Wednesday, July 9 at 12.30pm for a thanksgiving service at 1.00pm at St. Augustine’s Church, Palace Street followed by burial in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only but donations (if wished) can be made to St. Augustine’s Church, c/o Mrs Deirdre Amor, 26 Stoneypath, Newbuildings or The Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, BT48 8JE.

John will be missed beyond words by his entire family circle and his many friends.
