BETT (née Hannity) Iris (Killyleagh) Iris died peacefully at Downe Hospital on 27th August 2025.

Devoted wife of the late John, loving mother to Susan and Helen. Cherished Granny to Claire, Hannah, Emma, Laura, Rachel and Faye. Great Granny to Jay, Ruby, Joey, Kit, Cúan. Dear Sister of Aileen, Anne, Francis, James and the late Marie. Loving mother-in-law to Leo

Iris is reposing in the Chapel of Rest at Down Funeral Directors, 26 John Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6BY with the family in attendance on Friday 29th August from 6-9 pm.

Iris will leave the funeral home at 11am on Saturday 30th August for arrival at 11:30 am in St Mary Star of the Sea Church, Killyleagh. Iris’s Requiem Mass will take place at 1pm on Sunday 31st August with interment in Comber Road Cemetery. Iris’s house is strictly private. Our Lady of Knock pray for her.
