McCARTHY (née McCourt) Mary (Irene) Passed away peacefully 13th August 2025 in Cape Town, South Africa. Mary (Irene) RIP. Mother of Fionnuala, Patricia, Brian, Justin and Alison. Grandmother to 13 grandchildren and great-grandmother to one. Pre-deceased by her husband Eugene McCarthy. Sister to Raymond McCourt (RIP) and Brian McCourt (RIP).
Her remains will return to Newry and Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church, Chapel Street, Newry on Friday 12th September at 11am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.
