ROONEY Stephen, Kilcoo (formerly of Downpatrick) died peacefully on 11th September 2025 at Greenvale nursing home, Castlewellan surrounded by his loving family.

Beloved husband of the late Alice and much loved father of Lisa. Cherished granda of Ryan, Ordhan, Chloe and Lewis. Loving son of the late John and Sarah Rooney. Cherished brother of Mary, Mena, Angela, George, Catherine, Peter, Eamon, Gerald, Pauline and Gregory, also the late Willie, Sean, Anne and Robert RIP.

Stephen’s remains will repose at his brother Gerald’s residence 25 Knock Rd, Annaclone from 3pm – 9pm today, Thursday 11th September 2025 and Friday 12th September 2025 from 2pm – 9pm.

Stephen’s remains will leave on Saturday 13th September at 2.30pm for funeral service at 3.30pm in St Malachys Church, Kilcoo followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing family and friends.
