McBRIDE Fr Hugo. Died peacefully October 30, 2025, in hospital surrounded by his loving family, after spending 60 years as a Missionary Priest in Africa. Beloved son of the late Bridie and Charlie McBride and loving brother of Angela Blair, Mary Browne, Rosemary Egan and the late Carmel, Columb, Michael and Anthony.

Hugo will be reposing at his niece’s home, 28 Lansdowne Road, Belfast BT15 4AA, from today Friday October 31st after 5.00pm for those wishing to pay their respects. On Monday November 3rd he will arrive at St Therese of Lisieux Church, Somerton Road, Belfast for Requiem Mass at 11.00am, followed by burial in Carnmoney Cemetery at 1.00pm.
