Family Acknowledgement and Months mind Mass
We, the family, of the late Raymond Devlin, a much loved daddy, granda, brother, uncle and friend, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our sudden and untimely bereavement.
We offer our deep appreciation to our extended family, friends, work colleagues and Daddy’s neighbours who all helped us in so many ways during the wake and funeral.
To all those who called to Daddy’s house, sent mass/sympathy cards, telephoned, posted on social media, brought food and helped with traffic, we are truly grateful.
To those who attended Daddy’s funeral or viewed online we give our thanks.
Thanks to Fr Graham, Lavey PP, who administered Daddy’s last rites. A special thank you to Fr McAnenly for officiating at Requiem Mass and for his touching homily about Daddy. Thanks to the Sacristan, Eucharistic Ministers and altar servers. Special thanks to Liam Kelly and his accompanist for their beautiful singing and music throughout the service.
We extend our sincere thanks to Peadar and Ryan from FMC funeral services for their kindness, care, respect and professionalism during the most difficult of times.
Thanks to the grave digger who prepared Daddy’s final resting place and to Kelley and all the staff of the Charm Inn for providing refreshments after the funeral.
We also offer our gratitude to all the staff of ward 22 in Altnagelvin who tended to Daddy with such care. Our thanks go also to the Bellaghy district nurses and Marie Curie staff who all looked after Daddy in his final days with such care and compassion.
A special word of thanks to the members of the Termonmaguirc Cancer Patients Comfort Fund for their guidance and care.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please take this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest gratitude. Your kindness has carried us through the most difficult of days and continues to do so.
Daddy is loved and missed everyday; may his gentle soul be granted peace and eternal rest.
Daddy’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated in St. Columbcille’s Chapel Carrickmore on Monday 15th December at 7.30pm.
Mary, Queen of the Gaels, pray for him.
