Acknowledgement Notice for the late Stanley Weir:
We, the family of the late Stanley (Stan) Weir would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all who supported us during this very difficult time.
Thank you to our family, friends, neighbours and everyone who attended Stan’s wake/funeral from near and far and for the many cards and messages we received.
Heartfelt thanks to Stan’s Consultants (Dr. Cunningham and Dr. Finnegan) and the Doctors, Nurses and Staff for the exceptional care Stan received while in Belfast City Hospital Levels 10 and 6. Thanks also to Warrenpoint District Nursing Team who cared for Stan at home.
We would like to thank the Rev. Louise Donald for the lovely funeral service and her kind words of comfort and support to us as a family.
A special word of thanks to the O’Brien family for their support.
Thanks also to Stan’s former work colleagues at both AJ Plumbing and MyLife.
We are grateful to Bell and Alyn Thomas for all their help. Our thanks to the organist.
We would like to thank Hugh and the staff of Diamonds Restaurant for catering in the Church hall afterwards.
We are deeply grateful to all who donated to ‘Life and Time’ charity in memory of Stan.
Finally our thanks to McAnulty Funeral Directors for the caring and compassionate way they guided us as a family and for the dignified and professional way they carried out the funeral arrangements.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we trust this acknowledgment will be accepted as a token of our sincere thanks and appreciation.
WEIR Stanley (Stan) (Warrenpoint) 1st December 2025, peacefully at Belfast City Hospital, Stanley (Stan), dearly loved husband of Liz, loving father of Gary, Suzanne and the late Siân and much-loved brother of Ken, Ronnie, Trevor and Joy. 15A, Pinewood Hill, Warrenpoint.
Stan’s remains will repose at McAnulty’s Funeral Home, 35, Church Street, Warrenpoint BT34 3HN on Tuesday from 7pm – 9pm and on Wednesday from 3pm – 5pm and 7pm – 9pm. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday at 1pm in Warrenpoint Methodist Church followed by committal in Clonallon Churchyard.
