Beloved husband of Loretto (née Laverty) and Loving father of Michelle Murphy, Aimee Craig, Joseph, Dominic and Jo-Ann McAlinden. Grandfather of Enda, Faye, Aoife, Finola, Chloe, Mia, Roísín, Clodagh, Connlá and Páiric. Son of the late John and Mary Ann. Brother of Rosaleen Kerr, Seamus, Anne Gilligan, Michael, Hugh, Brendan, Geraldine Duggan, Kevin, Pauline, Fergal and Declan and the late John, Rita Quigg, Gerard.

House strictly private at Joe’s request. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu to DEEDS (Dementia Engaged and Empowered Derry & Strabane). Funeral from his home, 744 Feeny Road, BT47 4TB on Wednesday, December 17 at 10.10am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Dungiven. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
