BYRNE (nee Smith) Maura (Lurganare, Jerrettspass) Died December 18, 2025, peacefully in The Derrymore Suite, Avila Nursing Home, Maura R.I.P. Wife of the late Francie and much loved mother of Paul, Adrian, Frances (Canavan) and Damian. Grandmother to Odhran, Siofra, Oran, Dara, Jack, Ben, Adam, Ceallagh, Erinn, Aislinn and Aoibh. Sister of Olive McCann and the late Owen. Mother-in-law to Dearbhail, Jacqueline, Orlaith and Declan. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.

Her remains will repose at her daughter Frances’ home, 4c Old Road, Poyntzpass, Newry, BT35 6TQ from 2.00pm until 9.00pm today Saturday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sunday at 1.00pm in St Mary’s Church, Barr. House Private on Sunday morning please. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughter, grandchildren, sister, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, nieces, nephews and entire family circle.
