MONAGHAN (nee Carton) Elizabeth (Betty) Peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on 23rd December 2025. Late of 16 High Park. May she rest in peace.

Beloved wife of Jim. Devoted mother of John, Marie and Seamus. Dearest mother-in-law of Monica, Gregory and Claire. Loving granny of Leah, Niamh and Aoife. A much loved sister of Terry, Myra and the late Eileen, Billy and Edmund. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all her nieces, nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Betty’s remains will be reposing at her late home, 16 High Park from 8pm tonight, Tuesday 23rd December. Funeral leaving from there on Friday 26th December at 11:15am for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

The wake house will be private from 10pm until 11am . The wake house will also be private on Christmas Day.
