BYRNE (nee O’Hare) Una (12 Dundrum Road, Newcastle) Died at home January 13, 2026, aged 98. Beloved wife of the late Barney (died 1982). Mother of Claire, Roisin, John, Vincent and Tony. Will be missed by spouses and partners; Brian Hassall, Olatz Aizpuru, Ali White and Neena Bossayamas and grandchildren Bernard and Vincent Reed, Aine and Cormac Byrne and Antxon and Annie Byrne. Survived by her sister Mena McKeown and sisters-in-law Cora and Margaret O’Hare.

Requiem Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Newcastle at 12noon on Friday, January 16, 2026. Followed by burial in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Bryansford.
