RUSSELL Charlie (Rostrevor/Australia) 14th January 2026, aged 98, peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Brisbane, Australia. Charlie, loving father of Peter (Julie) and the late Rosemarie (Alan), cherished grandfather of Sean, Andrea, Michelle, Brendan, Michael, Joseph and Tamara and a devoted and fun loving great grandfather, son of the late Richard and Ellen Russell and much-loved brother of Anna (Turley) and the late Patrick, Lily, Peter, John, Frank and Anthony and brother-in-law of Patricia, and Raphael. Formerly of “Ballymoney”, Levallyreagh Road, Rostrevor. May his soul rest in peace.

Funeral Mass for Charlie will take place on Friday 23rd January at 11am (Australian Eastern Standard Time) and can be viewed live on webcam (link to follow), with his Ashes returning to Ireland at a later date.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, nephews, nieces, entire family circle and many lifelong friends, both in Australia and Ireland.
