BRADY Mickey (Michael) – Welfare Rights Activist, MLA, MP. Passed away 16th January 2026, aged 75 years, at Craigavon Area Hospital. Beloved husband of Caroline, loving father of Saoirse, Michael, Seán and Niall and Lewis, a devoted grandfather, predeceased by his parents Sally and Willie, his brother Jim and his late wife Rose.

Mickey’s remains will repose at his home (28 Armagh Road, Newry BT35 6DJ) today (Wednesday January 21st) and tomorrow (Thursday January 22nd) from 11.00am each day. The house is Private on Friday morning please. Parking is available at St Joseph’s Boys’ High School, 20 Armagh Road, Newry BT35 8DH for those attending the wake. Removal from the family home on Friday morning (January 23rd) at 11.15am, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm in St Catherine’s Church, Dominic Street, Newry. Burial afterwards in Monkshill Cemetery.

Very deeply regretted by his loving wife, daughter, sons, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters Mary, Theresa and Lilian and the extended family circle.
