McDOWELL Basil, 10th February 2026, peacefully, dearly beloved husband of the late May, much loved father of Maria, Anthony, Brendan and Regina, father in law of Pat, Bernie, and Martin, loving grandfather and great grandfather and dear brother of Ann. May he rest in peace.

Requiem Mass will be held in St Mary’s Church, Dunsford on Thursday 12th February at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in Struell Cemetery Downpatrick.

Basil will be reposing at his late home 6 Phennick Close, Ardglass. Those wishing to call may do so on Tuesday between 4.00pm and 8.00pm and Wednesday from 2.00pm – 8.00pm.
