CHAMBERS Oisin – 3rd February 2026 (Age 28) – While travelling abroad. Precious Son of Ruth, Cherished Nephew of May and Loving Cousin of Emma, Richard and Rebecca.

“Don’t remember me with sadness, Don’t remember me with tears, Remember all the good times, We shared throughout the years”.

A Celebration for Oisín’s Life will be held on Sunday 19th April from 1.30pm to 5pm at D Watters Funeral Home, Tobermore. Donations will be welcomed for The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust on the afternoon, can be made online or payable to D. Watters (Donations A/c), 55 Main Street, Tobermore Magherafelt BT45 5PP.

I will lend you, for a little time, A child of mine, He said,

For you to love the while he lives, and mourn for when he’s dead,

He’ll bring his charms to gladden you, and should his stay be brief.

You’ll have his lovely memories, as solace for your grief,

I’ve looked the wide world over, in search for teachers true,

And from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes, I have selected you.

Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labour vain,

Nor hate me when I come to take him home again?

You’ll shelter him with tenderness, and love him while you may,

And for the happiness you’ve known, forever grateful stay,

But should the Angels call for him, much sooner than you planned,

You’ll brave the bitter grief that comes, and I’ll help you understand.

Will forever be loved and always missed by Mother Ruth and her partner Pat and all those whose hearts Oisín truly touched.

My Condolences Ruth for your loss. Your son was a shining light to me when I was in high school. I didn’t have many friends but Oisin was my best friend. He was bright, charismatic, intelligent, a comedian, a philosopher and an advocate for the disadvantaged. I am praying for you everyday that you find peace during this hard time.
