SMYTH (née Fitzsimons) Cecilia (Ballyculter, Strangford) R.I.P. Died peacefully on 24th February 2026 at the Downe Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly beloved wife of the late Hugh. Loving mother of William, Hugh, Joseph, Gerard, Bernard and the late Mary-Jennifer and Francis. Dear mother-in-law, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother. Much loved sister of Tommy and the late Eileen.

Cecilia’s remains will repose at Seamus Fitzsimons Funeral Home, 24 English Street, Downpatrick, with family in attendance on Thursday 26th and Friday 27th February from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Stella Maris Church, Strangford, on Saturday 28th February at 12 noon, followed by interment afterwards in St Malachy’s Cemetery, Kilclief.

Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, St Padre Pio and St Anthony pray for her.
