McMAHON James (Jim) R.I.P., passed peacefully on March 16, 2026 surrounded by love at Fruithill Nursing Home, aged 96 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Marie (nee Blaney), devoted father to Eamonn, Paul, Susan and the late Jim and Brendan. Much-loved father-in-law to Mary, Jim Jess and the late Sue. Devoted granda, great granda, uncle and a true and loyal friend to many. Go ndéana Dia a mhaith air.

For those wishing to say their final farewell, James will be reposing in O’Neill’s Chapel of Rest on Thursday 19th and Friday March 20th. Jim’s remains will leave O’Neill’s at 11.15am on Saturday to arrive at St Teresa’s Church, Glen Road for 12noon Requiem Mass to celebrate his long and fulfilled life. Burial will follow immediately afterwards in Our Lady’s Cemetery, Hannahstown. Requiem Mass can be viewed online via the Parish webcam. At Jim’s own request we would ask those attending the funeral to wear ‘bright colours and a smile’. Jim’s passing will leave a huge void in the lives of those he touched. He will be sorely missed.
