Book of Condolences

Mark – a Man of Prayer, Faith, and Power! Mark came on his first mission in Blackpool in the early ’90s. At the time, I was in Ilford on a mission with a team. I asked Mark if he would like to come on the next mission to Blackpool. He was eager and thrilled, and he came. In the mornings, we taught evangelism and how to pray for the sick. Then we sent the team out in the afternoons to evangelise and invite people to the meetings. In the evening services, Mark would help me lay hands on people and pray for the sick. After that, Mark went back home to his church. His pastor at the time, Barry, rang me and said, “What have you done to Mark? He’s not the same guy who left here a week ago. I don’t know what you’ve done to him.” He was never the same again when it came to the things of God. He blossomed and grew strong. At an Action Team meeting, it became clear that Mark was destined to become the leader. For many, many years he served faithfully. He was mightily used by God—a true man of faith and prayer. He worked in signs and wonders in evangelism. His faith was second to none. Then God told me to disband the team overnight—to finish the group and send everyone out to do what they felt God was calling them to do. I did it, not knowing how Mark or the team would take it—but God had already gone ahead of us. Mark struggled for some years, but he remained a man of God. Out of that season came Healing on the Streets, which has now become international. Mark laboured more abundantly than them all. He fought the good fight, he finished the course, and he kept the faith. And now there is laid up for him a crown of righteousness. Thank you to Linda and the boys, who released Mark to serve the world. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. The promise says that the blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorrow—and that will rest upon you and be yours for the rest of your lives. God bless you as you go forward. Talk about Mark together, remember the good things, and look ahead with hope to what is to come. To me, it’s not goodbye—it’s see you later, Mark. Say hi to Neil! Love, George & Hazel
