Margaret Rose Rodgers (nee Nugent) RIP Whitebridge Rd Carrickmore. Who passed away peacefully on the 24th April 2026.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who offered their sympathy and support following the loss of our beloved Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, Sister, Sister-in-law, Aunt, Neighbour and Friend.
To our dear family, neighbours, and friends, we extend our sincere thanks for the kindness and support you showed during Margaret’s wake and funeral. Your care and generosity meant so much to us and brought great comfort during such a difficult time. We will be forever grateful.
We are deeply thankful to the emergency services who attended to Margaret and South West Aute Hospital who cared for Margaret with such compassion and dignity in those final moments.
Sincere gratitude to everyone who called to our family home during the wake. Those who sent mass and sympathy cards, flowers and posted beautiful social media tributes. To our family members, friends, neighbours and local businesses who brought food and provided refreshments, who helped in any way, we are very appreciative for everything you have done for our family.
Thank you to all those who joined us for Requiem Mass, both within the chapel and online. We are deeply grateful to Fr. Peter McAnenly P.P and Fr O’Dwyer P.P Dunmoyle for their spiritual guidance and continued support. We also convey our appreciation to the Sacristan, altar servers, eucharistic ministers and family members who took part during the mass. To the musicians Sinead Taggart and Rory Madden for the beautiful music which truly enhanced the mass.
Our heartfelt thanks to Fox & McCallan Undertakers, for your unwavering support, guidance, and reassurance throughout, and for the dignity and professionalism with which every detail of the funeral was carried out. A special thank you to Seamus for all his help and kindness also to the grave diggers for preparing Margaret’s final resting place with such care.
A heartfelt thank you and appreciation to all of Margaret’s devoted carers for their compassion and kindness. Your care brought great comfort and reassurance to Margaret. We will be forever grateful.
We also sincerely thank the District Nurses for their support and dedication, and the doctors and staff at Carrickmore Health Centre, along with the staff at Harte’s Chemist, for their kindness and care.
A special thank you to Kelley and all the staff at the Charm Inn for the warm hospitality and refreshments provided after the funeral.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude and appreciation to everyone who helped and supported us.
Margaret’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated on Thursday 4th June 2026 in St. Mary’s Church Dunmoyle at 7pm.

Rodgers, Margaret. 276 Whitebridge Road, Carrickmore died peacefully at South West Acute Hospital on Friday 24th April surrounded by her loving family.
Wife of the late Brian RIP. Loving mother of Seamus (Annemarie) the late Martina RIP and Mary who died in infancy. Treasured grandmother of Clodagh, Pearse and Ryan. Beloved sister of Mary Connolly RIP (Barney RIP), Mickey Nugent RIP (Eileen) and Jim Nugent (Anne), and her much loved Aunt Maggie. Beloved sister in law of Jimmy Rogers RIP (Nancy), Cissie Mullin RIP (Michael RIP), Bridie O’Sullivan RIP (Frank RIP), Kathleen McBreen (Chris) Pearl River New York.
Remains reposing at her late residence, 276 Whitebridge Road, Carrickmore until removal at 10.15am on Monday 27th April to St. Colmcille’s Church for 11am requiem mass. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Dunmoyle with her late husband and daughter.
Wake this evening, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th from 10am.
Family, close friends and neighbours only on morning of funeral.
Deeply regretted and sorely missed by her sorrowing son, daughter in law, grandchildren,brother, sisters in law, nieces and nephews, entire family circle, friends neighbours and dedicated carers.
Our Lady pray for her gentle soul.
