LYND, Dorothy Florence (Florie) passed away 8th May 2026 peacefully at Antrim Area Hospital.

Late of Tern Crescent, Carrickfergus.

Family and friends are welcome to call at her daughter Sandra’s home, 14 Craigdarragh Park, Carrickfergus.

Much loved wife of the late Eric. Loving and devoted mum to Sandra, Mark and Glen, son-in-law Steven, daughter’s-in-law Verity and Julie. Proud granny to Lesley-Ann, Aaron, Meila, Brooke, Liley, Aleeah, Lilia, Mylah and Flynn and great-granny to Jodie-Lee, Corey, Tyler, Jaxon and Zara and great-great granny to Theo, Archie and Aria.

A service of thanksgiving for Florie’s life will be held in S & J Irvine’s Funeral Home, 31-35 Irish Quarter South, Carrickfergus on Thursday 14th May 2026 at 1.00 p.m. followed by interment in Victoria Cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired to Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke c/o S&J Irvine.

Florie will be loved and remembered always by her entire family circle at home and abroad.

We did not see you close your eyes nor hear your last faint sigh, we only knew that you were gone, too late to say goodbye.

Tomorrow is promised to no-one.

God saw you getting weary and cure was not to be, He put his arms around you and whispered “Come to me”.
