MAGILL (nee Geoghegan) Joan (Newry) May, 2026, (peacefully) surrounded by her loving family. Joan, beloved wife of the late Oliver R.I.P and devoted mother of Angela, Peter, Deirdre, Brendan and Siobhan.

Her remains will repose in Paul McEvoy’s Funeral Home on Sunday from 4.00pm until 8pm and Monday from 4pm until removal at 7pm to her late residence, 5 Ashfield Avenue (House Strictly Private). Requiem Mass for Joan will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10.30am in S.S. Patrick & Colman’s Cathedral, burial afterwards Monkshill cemetery. Our Lady Queen of The Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle.

Mrs Magill as she was fondly known was the teacher I was assigned to for my 1st teaching practice in 1976 ,Her remarkable talent and gifts as a teacher gave many children in her care a wonderful start to their school lives .
