Leonora McGilligan (Cork, Ballerin & formerly Gort, Co. Galway), Died May 30 2026, Peacefully at Cork University Hospital surrounded by her loving family Leonora (Len) R.I.P. beloved wife of the late Patrick (Paddy); loving mother of Olivia; much adored granny of Jennifer Van Seters (Bob), Emmet (Aoife), Tara Lovejoy (Chelsey) Aaron (Emma), Aidan and Tiernan and great granny of Jake, Mícheal, Éabha and Sophia. Daughter of the late John and Margaret McCarthy (Gort, Co. Galway).

Len will be reposing in her God daughter Anne O’Neill’s residence, 30 Clintonville Gardens, Garvagh, BT51 5AH. Everyone welcome to call on Tuesday, June 2 from 2pm to 9pm and Wednesday, June 3 2026 from 12 to 9pm. Family time after please. Funeral from Anne’s residence on Thursday at 9:20am for 10am Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Ballerin. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. (Mass will be broadcast live on the parish website) Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her Soul. Deeply regretted by the entire family circle.
