MAYES James (Jimmy Soup) June 17, 2026, (peacefully) at his home 10 Churchview Close Laurencetown. James ‘Jimmy Soup’, loving husband of Bronagh and loving dad to Stephen, Shauna, Robert, Bernadette and Ryan, beloved father-in-law to Barry, Paula, Andrea and Tracey, loving granda to Keelan, Éoin, Amy, Tiernan, Morgan, Ethan, Sophie and Megan, Beloved son of the late James and Cecilia Mayes and much loved brother of Bernie, Rosie, Eileen, Sheila, Jennifer, Helen and the late Mary and Philomena, and much loved son-in-law of the late Sean and Joanie Duffy and brother-in-law of Miriam, Sr Bernadette, Mark, Sean and Anne.

Jimmy’s remains are reposing at his home where family and friends will be welcome to call and pay their respects. Funeral on Saturday at 10.00am from his home to St Patrick and St Colman’s Church Laurencetown for 10.30am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Jimmy’s Requiem Mass can be viewed on the Church webcam. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
