Cormac McDONNELL

The family of the late Cormac McDonnell wish to sincerely thank all those who sympathised with them on their recent bereavement and loss of a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and dear friend. Our heartfelt thanks to all who cared for Cormac during his short illness especially the Hospital at Home Team, the staff at Craigavon Area Hospital, staff at Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast and the doctors and staff at Ardmore Medical Practice, Dungannon.
We sincerely thank all our neighbours, friends and extended family who welcomed Cormac’s remains to our family home. To all who helped out at the house before, during and after the wake, your kindness and support has been overwhelming. Thanks to everyone who contacted us, left online tributes, sent sympathy cards, Mass cards and floral tributes. Thanks to those who visited or attended the wake and especially those who travelled long distances to be with us. Thanks to our neighbours for preparing Cormac’s grave, to all those who helped out with parking and to KC Marquees.
A special word of thanks to Fr Paddy Mc Guckin for his lifelong friendship and support of our family especially during this difficult time. We thank Fr Barney Mc Aleer for celebrating Cormac’s Funeral Mass. For their spiritual guidance and support we extend our thanks to Fr Patrick Breslin, Fr Brian Slater, Fr Leo Traynor and Fr David Moore.
Special thanks to Rory Madden, Ross Morgan, Ella McDonnell, Tess McDonnell and Liza McDonnell for the beautiful and fitting music during the funeral mass. Thanks also to the readers, gift bearers and all who contributed to the Requiem Mass in celebration of Cormac’s life.
Thanks to Kitch’n Catering and Galbally Community Centre who provided the food and refreshments after the funeral.
Finally, a special word of thanks to Kate Mc Aleer (Funeral Director) for taking such great care of Cormac and our family and for carrying out the funeral arrangements with great dignity, professionalism and sensitivity.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this as an expression of our sincere appreciation to all who helped us in any way. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. Cormac’s Month’s Mind Mass will take place on Friday 21st August in St. John the Baptist Church, Galbally, at 7:00pm and can be viewed online via the link on this page.
