HUGHES Jim (Newry) died 10th July 2026 peacefully at Daisy Hill Hospital. Jim R.I.P. Husband of Dorothy and much loved father of Martin, Jim, Gary, Christine, and the late Eileen & Kenneth. Brother of Valerie, Thelma, Francis, Bob & the late Stephen. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

His remains will repose at his home, 2 Aghnamoira Road, Newry, BT34 2PR on Saturday & Sunday from 1pm until 9pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11.00am on Monday in St. Mary’s Church, Chapel Street. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, sons, daughter, daughters in law Angela, Kathleen, Helen, and son in law Lee, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, family circle and friends.
