We the family of the late Dermot Nugent wish to our heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.

We wish to acknowledge the paramedics and PSNI for their dignified manner at the time of daddy’s death.

Special thank you to Kate McAleer and staff for their professionalism and guidance throughout the funeral arrangements. Also to Fr Slater, Fr McGuckin, Fr Breslin and sacristans. Thanks to Caoimhe and Plunkett for the beautiful music. We would like to thank all the gravediggers for preparing daddy’s final resting place. Thanks to Geraldine and Nugents canteen for providing catering throughout the wake and funeral.

We are overwhelmed with the kindness and support from our neighbours, friends and family for all the help they have given to us over this difficult time and to all who have helped us and daddy over the years.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our deep gratitude and appreciation.

Dermot’s months mind mass will be celebrated in the church of St. John the Baptist Galbally on Friday the 14th August at 7.00pm, St Anthony pray for him.

NUGENT (Altaglushan, Galbally) 14th July 2026, suddenly, Dermot.  Beloved husband of the late Christine (née McRory) RIP. Cherished father of Patrick (Megan), Emma (Aaron), Aisling and Joanne.  Adored by his grandchildren Maeve and Christie. Treasured son of the late Patrick and Annie.  Much loved brother of Mary (Herron), Margaret (Conroy), Rose (Conroy) and the late Hugh Anthony, Joe, Eugene and Sean RIP

Dermot is reposing at home 84 Altaglushan Rd. BT70 2PL. Removal on Friday for 11am Requiem Mass in The Church of Saint John the Baptist, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

St. Anthony pray for him.

Deeply loved and sadly missed by his grieving son, daughters, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, mother-in-law Margaret, entire family circle, neighbours and friends.
