Catherine (Kathleen) DONAGHY (née Gillen)
DONAGHY (née Gillen) Catherine (Kathleen) July 29, 2026 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved daughter of the late Hugh and Catherine Gillen, loving wife of the late Hugh Donaghy and mother-in-law of the late Stephen O’Hanlon. Catherine will be sorely missed by her brother Billy and children Michael, Maria, Catherine, Hugh, Margarette and Geraldine, grandchildren, great grandchildren and entire family circle.
Catherine will be reposing at her home, 73 Bawnmore Park, Newtownabbey, until this (Friday) evening July 31st. Funeral Mass on tomorrow Saturday August 1st at 9.30am in St Mary’s Church, Greencastle, Shore Road, Newtownabbey, followed by 11.00am interment at Carnmoney Cemetery, Prince Charles Way, Newtownabbey.
Family flowers only. If wished, donations in lieu of flowers to Alzheimer’s Society (Registered Charity 296645) c/o any family member. St Pio pray for her.
