BEATTY Thomas James (Jimmy B) – With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas James Beatty, aged 88. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on 17th August 2026. Beloved husband of Eileen and loving father to Kim, Stephen and Lynn. Cherished grandfather to Lauren, Rachel, Grace, Aimee, Ellie & Oonagh.

Jimmy will be reposing at O’Kanes Funeral Home, 12 Portland Avenue, Glengormley, BT36 5EY 02890 233133, from Thursday 20th August 2026. Anyone wishing to pay their respects are welcome to call between the hours of 9.00am – 5.00pm (Mon-Friday). Jimmy’s remains will return to his late home (Church Drive, Newtownabbey), on Sunday 23rd August at 5.00pm. House strictly private.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Bernard’s Church on Monday 24th August at 10:45am, followed by committal at Antrim & Newtownabbey Crematorium at 12Noon.

Family flowers only, Donations in lieu can be made payable to Marie Curie or Chest, Heart & Stroke c/o O’Kanes Funeral Home.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Rest peacefully, Jimmy. You will never be forgotten
