McTAGGART (nee Thompson) Rita (Newry) August 18, 2026, passed away (peacefully) at Evora Hospice in Newry, surrounded by her devoted family. May she rest in peace. Rita, beloved wife of the late Joseph and much-loved mother of Joseph (Colleen), Kathleen (John), Anne (Dominic), Gabriel (Geraldine), John (Deirdre), Noel (Fiona), Paul (Joan), Rosemarie (Kevin), Hugh (Sabrina) and the late Michael, Marian and her late husband Kieran RIP

Rita will be reposing at her home, 10 Eshwary, Camlough, from 7 pm today, Tuesday 18th August, until removal on Thursday 20th August 2026. The funeral will leave the house at 10.15 am for the 11 am Requiem Mass in the Church of St Malachy, Carrickcruppen. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. The house is private the morning of the funeral.

Rita will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her sisters Marie and Jean; her sister-in-law, and the entire family circle and friends.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.
