BURNS (nee Laverty) Mary (Loughinisland) August 23, 2026, peacefully in Slieve Dhu Nursing Home. Dearly beloved wife of the late Paddy, much loved mother of Mary, Patrick, Hugh, Sally, Martin, Eileen and the late Rosaleen, a dear mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and sister of Mickey. May she rest in peace.

Requiem Mass will be held in St Macartan’s Church, Loughinisland on Thursday August 27th at 10.00am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at her daughter’s home, 2 Thornlea Grove, Seaforde, BT30 8QS on today Tuesday 25th and tomorrow Wednesday August 26th, 2.00pm – 4.00pm and 6.00pm – 9.00pm each day. House Private on morning of funeral please. Family flowers only please, donations may be made in lieu if desired to Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke.

Very deeply regretted and will be lovingly remembered by her sorrowing family and friends. Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on her.
