SMITH (née Jones) Mary, 12th September 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, (ex. District Nurse) Beloved wife of the late Charlie, loving mother of Margaret, Patricia, Sean, and Anna-Marie, dear mother-in-law of Sharon and Brendan, devoted granny of Claire-Marie, Ciara, Laura, Mark, Catriona, Shaun and Paul, and great-granny of Arthur, Hannah, Sonny, Rossa, Darragh and Leo, cherished daughter of the late Margaret and Johnny Jones, dear and loving sister of Margaret and the late Sarah, Michael, Paddy, James, Anne and Tommy, and a caring aunt to all her nieces and nephews.

Mary will be reposing at her home, 130 Templegrove, on Sunday 13th September from 6:00pm.

Family time please from 10:00pm to 11:00am.

Funeral leaving her home on Tuesday 15th September at 9:20am to Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if wished, to the Simon Community (Derry), Bonds Hills, Waterside or Foyleville Care Home. A donation box will be available in Mary’s home.
