We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Joseph Bernard “Benny” Friel peacefully on 18th of September 2026. May he rest in peace. Late of 41 Pinewood Crescent, Claudy, Co Derry.

Beloved husband of Ann. Loving father of Damien (Pamela) and the late Jonathan RIP .

Devoted grandfather of Leah, Shane, Orrie, Bobby and Ollie. Son of the late Paddy and Annie Friel RIP Ballymaclanigan and dear brother of Patsy, (Marian) and the late Annie-Mary, Maggie, Thomas and Philomena RIP. A dear brother-in-law and uncle.

Reposing at his late home. Wake commencing Saturday (19th) 1pm to 10pm and Sunday (20th) 1pm to 10pm. Family time please at all other times and morning of funeral.

Funeral from his late home on Monday 21st of September leaving at 10:20am for 11am Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick‘s Church, Claudy. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Requiem Mass can be viewed via the church webcam.
