MARKEY Paul Augustine, Hanslough Road, Middletown. His passing leaves a great sense of loss, but also a lifetime of precious memories that will be held close and treasured forever.

Paul was the beloved partner of Hilary. He was also a very special and much-loved part of the life of Hilary’s son, Oliver.

A devoted and loving father to Christopher and Danielle. He was a much-loved father-in-law to Trish and Ryan, and a treasured grandfather. His grandchildren brought him great joy, and the love he had for them was unmistakable.

Paul was the beloved son of the late Agnes, and a dear brother to Breige and the late Elizabeth. He was also a much-loved brother-in-law to Christy and a cherished uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Paul was a good neighbour and a true friend to many. His familiar presence, his kindness, his humour and the companionship he gave so freely will be remembered with warmth and affection.

Though his passing has brought great sorrow, those who loved Paul will be forever grateful for the years, memories, laughter and love they shared.

May his gentle memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

Paul will be reposing in EC Hughes Funeral home 2 Main Street Middletown BT60 4JF from 4pm to 9pm on Monday the 28th and Tuesday the 29th of September 2026 until removal from his late residence on Wednesday the 30th of September for 11am Funeral mass in St John’s Church Middletown and burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
