Loving father of Seamus (Danielle) and Gary (Catherine) Loving partner of Sheila McCloskey and her family Deirdre, Maeve, Shirley, Sinead, Emmett, James and Pauline. Devoted grandfather of Ronan, Conor, Shane and Darragh. Son of late Charles and Christina Hargan RIP (Berryburn) and dear brother of Michael, Ambrose, Joy, Laurine, Mark, Cyril and the late John, Terry, Christine, Stevie, Veronica and Elizabeth-Ann RIP. Deeply regretted by the entire family circle.

You are welcome to pay your respects at McLaughlin Funeral Directors (414a Ballyquin Road Dungiven BT47 4NQ) Saturday 3rd of October 7pm – 9pm with removal at 9pm to repose at his son’s home 48 Brecanlea, Claudy, BT47 4BN. Wake house private tonight – wake commencing Sunday 4th October 1pm to 10pm.

Funeral on Monday 5th of October 2026, leaving at 10:20am for 11am Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick‘s Church, Claudy. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
