McALEA, Fergal (known as Poppy) died peacefully in his sleep on 3rd October 2026 under the loving care of Redburn Nursing Home. He previously resided in Carryduff with his wife Lily.

Dearly loved and devoted husband of 66 years of Lily (Janet Elizabeth), much loved father of Elizabeth and husband Aidan, and Catherine and husband Davy. Poppy was cherished by grandchildren Ciara and husband Alan, Mark, Ryan and wife Rachael, Vicky and Matthew and adored by his great-grandchildren Sophia, Olly, Ronan, Jack, Mallaidh, Ava, Reya and Isla.

Requiem Mass will be held in Immaculate Heart of Mary Drumbo Parish Church, Carryduff on Friday 9th October 2026 at 9.30 am, followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

Poppy will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife and family. May he rest in peace.
