KEENAN (née Rooney) Eileen died on 2nd August 2021. Late of 27 Courtney Hill, Newry.

Beloved wife of the late Charlie and loving mother of Paula, Helen and Donal.

Eileen’s remains will repose in Mc Gennity’s Funeral Home, 18 Forkhill Road, Newry BT35 8LZ from 4.00pm until 7.00pm tomorrow (Tuesday 3rd August), after which Eileen will return to her home at 27 Courtney Hill, Newry. Please observe social distancing requirements and wear face coverings in the funeral home. As family members continue to shield in response to the Covid 19 pandemic, unfortunately the wake must be strictly private.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 1.00pm on Thursday (5th August) in St. Mary’s church, Chapel Street, Newry and can be viewed online at the Newry Cathedral Parish website. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Unfortunately, Eileen’s funeral Mass must be restricted to family members only. Anyone wishing to pay their respects is invited to stand along the funeral route.

Remembered by her children, Paula, Helen and Donal, her daughter-in-law Barbara, sons-in-law John and Donal. Also by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and wide circle of friends and many, many past pupils.
