Martin (Fitzy) FITZPATRICK
Our Martin Fitzpatrick (“Fitzy”), 55, originally of Belfast, Northern Ireland, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at his home in Red Bank, New Jersey. He was a master mason and owner of Fitzpatrick Masonry. Martin was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s Church and a member of the Red Bank Elks Lodge.
Martin will be remembered for his quick wit, strength, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. He never hesitated to lend a hand, share a laugh, or tackle a project in need of fixing. He had a passion for motorcycles, skiing in Vermont, building and creating things with his hands, traveling home to visit family in Ireland, and dancing whenever the opportunity arose. Music was a constant source of joy throughout his life, and he especially loved Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, The Pogues, Queen, and New Wave music. Above all, Martin’s greatest pride was his family, and the memories he created with them will be cherished forever.
Martin is predeceased by his father, Samuel Fitzpatrick, and his sister, Elizabeth Fitzpatrick. He is survived by his loving wife, Bernadette (“Bean”), cherished children, Reilly, Sean, and Ciara Fitzpatrick. Martin also leaves his mother, Marie Fitzpatrick (Belfast), and his brother, Paul Fitzpatrick (South Carolina).
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Red Bank on Friday, October 16, 2026, at a time to be determined, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Red Bank Elks Lodge from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Martin’s honor to the American Heart Association.
