THORNTON Genie (Keady formerly Glaslough Co Monaghan) October 31, 2026, (peacefully) in hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Genie, dearly beloved husband of Rosemary and devoted father to Declan (Emma) and Madeline Keenan (Kieran).

His remains will repose at his late residence 8 Church St, Keady BT60 3SB from Sunday until removal on Tuesday to arrive at St Patrick’s Church Keady for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the church cemetery.

Deeply regretted and sorely missed by his loving wife, son, daughter, grandchildren Aine, Ciara, Oisin, Tiernan, Caitlin, Eoghan, great grandsons Fionn and Daire, sister Maureen, brothers Enda, Barry and Brendan, nieces, nephews and the entire Thornton and McNally families and his many good friends and neighbours.

On his gentle soul sweet Jesus have mercy.

Family welcome visitors to their home on Sunday and Monday between hours 2pm – 9pm, house respectfully private outside these hours and on Tuesday morning please.
