LYTTLE KENNETH (Kenny)

Date of Death: Saturday 14th August 2021 Town: Castlederg
Date of Death: Saturday 14th August 2021

The wife Heather, children Judy, Victoria and Gareth, his grandchildren Myla, Addison and Daisy, sister Stella and families of the late Ken Lyttle would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported and sympathised with us during his illness and our recent bereavement.

To our kind and generous family, neighbours, and friends, who helped us at home, the hospital, those who cooked many meals for us, looked after the children, phoned Ken daily when in hospital and visited when he came home, we are so very grateful. To my 3 sisters Betty, Angela, and Madeline, thank you for your help caring for Ken and us, both in the hospital and at home.

To all here at home and in Australia who helped get our daughter home swiftly thank you so much.
To the many people who called at our home, sent messages and sympathy cards, attended the funeral, and lined the route of his final journey thank you and it was very evident of the high regard in which he was held.

To those who helped me carry out his final wishes, Andy, Declan, Shane, and Barney on the motorbikes for leading his final journey, Olive for walking his wee dogs out with him, Gerald for finding me the sounds of the sea he wanted played as he left our home for the last time thank you all. The pall bearers who represented his best friends, his past working life, his hobbies, and interests including his caravan friends he named you all.

Thank you to the staff of ward 3 SWAH, the palliative care team, our district nurses in Castlederg and the Marie Curie nurses for all your care and support. To the staff of Castlederg surgery and Donaghy’s chemist thank you.
A special thanks to Armstrong Funeral Directors for the very dignified efficient and personal manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

Thank you to Ailish Boyd- Floral Creations for the personal wreath from Kens own Garden and Gareth Lowry for playing the music at the funeral service at home.

Many thanks to Myrtle Sproule for preparing and serving the meal after the funeral

A very special thank you to the Rev Sam Livingstone for your many visits to Ken in hospital and at home, for your support and guidance to all of us and conducting the service at our home and helping us to ensure Kens final wishes. We will be forever grateful for your support. Thank you to Norman also for visiting us and for your guidance.

Thank you to all who donated to Kens chosen charity The Air Ambulance Northern Ireland in lieu flowers.

As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a gesture of our heartfelt appreciation.
