Date of Death: Friday 27th August 2021 Town: Newry
Date of Death: Friday 27th August 2021

We, the family of the late Patrick McKeown would like to extend our sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement, those who called, offered prayers, sent cards and attended the funeral.

Thanks to Fr Brown, Newry Cathedral for his attendance at short notice in the hours before Pat’s death and for his comforting prayers; and to the Taxiline driver for his assistance that night. Thanks also to the Acute Care at Home Team for their expertise and wonderful care and support over the previous few months; and to the Doctors and staff of McVerry/McEvoy Surgery for their care and support throughout the years.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank the workers from Nulines for their consideration and access arrangements in Ardaveen Drive during the wake and funeral. Also to Head Injury Support and Pat Courtenay for their help and support during the wake and to Murphy’s Bar and Restaurant, Meigh for the lovely meal following the funeral.

We are particularly indebted and grateful to all the staff in Ardmaine Care Home for the wonderful care and compassion given to Patrick during his time with them.

We are especially grateful to Fr Cline for his pastoral care, support and his celebration of the beautiful Requiem Mass and to Janice Gribben for the lovely singing and music which greatly enhanced the Service.

Finally, a special thanks to Lorraine Poucher Funeral Director and Jordan Poucher for their professionalism, organisation, dignity, understanding and genuine compassion in carrying out the funeral arrangements.

Patrick’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 26th September at 12.30 in the Church of the Assumption, Drumalane, Newry.
