O’NEILL (née Kearney) Deirdre passed away on the 22nd December 2021, suddenly and unexpectedly at home, Burke Road, Claddagh, Galway City, Galway. Formerly of Omagh, Co Tyrone.

Pre-deceased by her father Arthur, mother Molly and sister Laura. Much loved mother of Emma, Alanna and Iarla and dearly loved grandmother of Luke, Cyan, Dylan and Daniel.

Deeply mourned and very sadly missed by her children and their father Owen O’Neill, her wonderful grandchildren, sisters Mary and Valerie, brother Padraigh, nieces and nephews, all her extended family, lifelong friends Rita Feeney, Rita O’Donoghue, Treasa and Seamus Waters, many friends from all parts of the world including her many friends in Tyrone.

A family gathering with a Service to celebrate Deirdre’s life and passing will be celebrated on Thursday, 30th December at 4 p.m. at Shannon Crematorium. In time Deirdre will be brought back to her people in Omagh. The current capacity at the crematorium is 100 persons. No flowers by request. Livestream link

Deirdre’s family are mindful of spreading Covid-19 at this time and particularly at the funeral. If you are attending the Service in Shannon please wear a mask, avoid shaking hands and be mindful of social distancing.
