We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of John McGuinness, peacefully at Melmount Manor Care Home, Strabane on 11th April 2023, surrounded by all of his loving family. Late of 3 Celtic Court and formerly of 48 Ivy Terrace. May he rest in peace.

Beloved husband of the late Doreen. Devoted father of Catherine, John and Lisa. Dearest father-in-law of Dessie and Terry. Loving granda of Emmett, Ciara, Seán, Aaron, Nicole, Caolán and Dáire. A much loved great-granda of Owen, Ethan, Callum, Kaelium, Lea, Aodhán, Álainn and the late Connell. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

John’s remains will be reposing at his daughter Lisa’s residence, 2 Westland Street. His wake will commence at 1pm today, Wednesday 12th April.

Funeral leaving from there on Friday 14th April at 9:20am for 10am requiem mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
