Cancer has been a constant companion in my own family. I know the heartbreak it brings to not only the one who is dealing with it…but also those around them. Your wife and mother is now watching over you…as only she can. There will be many times in your life when you will reach out to her…she will hear you..and touch your heart. Fate must have brought me to your page when a good friend of mine was taken by cancer at a young age. She reminded me so much of you. The type of person that is always giving back, rather than taking. The type of person who is always thinking of others before themselves. I’ve lost a lot of people in my life, but that loss felt so unfair for the type of person she was - like you. I wish she had done something on a platform the way you do - so that I selfishly could have seen more of her, immortalized in a way. And she could have touched even more lives than the many she did in person. Anyway, her loss shook me to the core. And then I started following you. And your attitude toward life is very admirable and something I strive toward. I have lived the past year of my life differently than I ever have. I see every day as potentially my last and am appreciating it immensely. I see the beauty in even the smallest things, that were invisible to me before. I’ve let go of unnecessary anger. I love more deeply. I hug my babies like it could be the last time. I’ve stopped yelling. I don’t get mad at my husband over petty things like a messy house. I make holidays and birthdays special, which I was cynical about before. I know you know how important your life is to the people who know you, but I want you to know how much you have touched the life of strangers like me. You have played a big role in literally changing my life and my family’s life for the better.
