The family of the late James, Eugene Grieve “Séamus” would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with them on the sad loss of their brother, brother-in-law and uncle.

We would like to acknowledge and thank Foyle Search and Rescue.

Sincere thanks to all who attended the wake and funeral, and all the kind words expressed to the family. Thanks to Fr O’Kane for the beautiful Requiem Mass, thank you to Martin & Joelene for the beautiful music and singing, the grave digger and to the ladies who provided tea and sandwiches after the funeral.

A special thanks to Seamus, Deborah, Eugene of McLaughlin Funeral undertakers for the very dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.

We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

GRIEVE James Eugene (Séamus) – We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of James Eugene “Séamus” Grieve on 25th of September 2023. May he rest in peace. Late of Apartment 3, No 10, Clooney Terrace and formerly 476 Glenshane Road, Claudy, Co Derry.

Beloved son of the late John and Sarah-Agnes R.I.P and loving brother of Kathleen, John, Pat, Dolores, Noel, Finbar and the late Margaret and James Eugene (Seamus) R.I.P. Deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews and the entire family circle.

You are welcome to pay your respects at McLaughlin’s Funeral Home (414a Ballyquin Road, Dungiven, BT47 4NQ) Wednesday (27th) 6pm to 9pm and Thursday (28th) 6pm to 8pm. Leaving the funeral home at 8pm to repose in St Patrick’s Church, Claudy. Requiem Mass will take place in Friday 29th of September at 11am. Interment immediately in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please donations if desired in lieu to Foyle Search and Research c/o McLaughlin Funeral Directors. Sacred Heart of Jesus pray for him.
